Description
The kilt hanger is designed to accommodate the Prince Charlie outfit, but will fulfill the needs of any kilt outfit.
The pleated panel of the kilt is fastened to the clips of the rear wire (spread to their maximum width); the inner apron of the kilt is then clipped to the center wire (clips are located just “inside” the clips on the rear wire); and finally, the front panel (apron) of the kilt is clipped to the front wire (clips are spread as wide as possible). This secures the kilt without forcing clips or damaging fabric.
The kilt is held firmly in place and, as the hanger is slightly wider than standard, wrinkle-free. The notches in the hanger arms secure the waistcoat (vest) and the Prince Charlie coatee hangs on the arms of the hanger. Should a fly plaid be worn, it fits over the wooden cross arm above the wires and clips. Or, if you prefer to leave it attached to the coatee, the plaid may be draped around the back of the coatee and over the opposite shoulder which will hold it relatively wrinkle-free.
The entire ensemble is then placed in the garment bag (secured by the “cinch strap” allowing for convenient storage, easy packing and luggage that may be checked. A detachable shoulder strap is included for convenience in carrying your Kilt Kit.
